I bought the M6 because it’s my Sunday car and I live in the desert with little traffic. But it will never respond as well as an experienced manual driver can make an M6 respond. A few (more than will actually admit) members of the forum have had overheating and shift quality issues pushing hard during track use. Durability wise, it’s the weakest link in the drivetrain. Very crisp shifts and very responsive.īut it’s still just a torque converter based auto like in any other car. No problem with feeling power upon acceleration with the A10. Automobile Chevrolet Camaro 2016 Reference Manual. The big thing I do enjoy about my current M6 is that I can downshift and really enjoy the power on demand, where I have always felt in the past the autos did not have that. I'm not opposed to owning an auto, and I am in fact looking at one today around 5pm. However, I wanted to get some feedback as I'm currently looking at two 2018 cars fairly close in price and wanted to see pros/cons from current owners. I currently own a M6 SS, and I do prefer the manual transmission car. To start, I know that the TM issues hamper this car for drag racing, so I am already aware of it regarding both transmissions. I also think down the line modding is less expensive and less hassle. but its feels like your more in control of your driving with the M6. I do wish off the line I got a A10 sometimes. with the rev match its just freaking fun. Im sure it was in kill mode and in the right gear it just felt weird.Īnd again no rev match. or if i drove normal for a bit it came out of the mode.Īlso it felt unrealistic and not like a M6 when it was in 2 or 3 in performance mode like it wasn't in the right gear. But off the line the A10 is a lot quicker.ġ thing i couldn't stand was dropping down into performance mode or getting it in that mode. cause i'm on the hwy all the time that's where I encounter racers I don't think it has a much advantage unless you don't know how to no lift shift. Nothing beats the rev match! and some of the courses I drive I use on 2 or 3rd so shifting is not really a problem. I test drove the A10 5 times and still couldn't be persuaded. Even though the auto is bad ass especially off the line and easier to launch. If you were brought up on a Manual then you will not like the Auto.
